School Readiness Program
Purpose
Laugh and Learn's School Readiness Program is designed to serve as a vital bridge between ABA therapy and a traditional classroom setting. Transitioning from one-on-one support to a classroom with up to 30 students and one teacher can be a significant adjustment. The social, emotional, and communication skills required may feel overwhelming-but families don't have to navigate this transition alone. We're here to help!
Process
Our School Readiness Program mirrors a classroom environment, with multiple students learning alongside one teacher. The day is structured to resemble a typical school schedule, thoughtfully balanced with sensory breaks and targeted skill-building activities.
We focus on developing the foundational skills essential for success in a learning environment, including fine motor skills, teamwork, sharing, responding when called, raising hands, lining up, and smoothly transitioning between activities.
Potential
We are proud to share that many children have graduated from our School Readiness Program and successfully transitioned into traditional classrooms. But our support doesn't end there. We remain actively involved, collaborating with schools, teachers, families, and IEP teams to ensure that families have the support needed to truly thrive.
