Our Clinicians - Brighton

Brighton Clinical Director

A bit about me:
I love cooking and trying new recipes out. I also enjoy going to new restaurants with my husband or friends. I try to spend some time at the gym or running outdoors. When the weather is nice, my husband and I will take our dog Peanut out to walk in the neighborhood or a park. Peanut is a pit bull mix I rescued from a shelter. She loves everyone she meets—unless you're a squirrel.
I graduated from the University of Michigan with a BA in Psychology and earned a MA in Forensic Psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. After discovering ABA, I enrolled in the certificate program from Ball State University, completed my practicum hours, and obtained my certification and licensure in behavior analysis.
What made you decide to pursue a career in ABA Therapy?
After working as a Special Education Teacher when COVID started, I decided to pivot and discovered Applied Behavior Analysis. I found a job as a behavior technician and immediately liked the individualized and data-informed approach. I already knew I loved working with children on the autism spectrum. It was an easy decision to enroll in an ABA program and pursue my BCBA certification.
What do you feel qualifies you to help families affected by autism?
I have been working with children on the spectrum for the past 12 years, and started my career in education. I have a solid understanding of autism both from my formal education and experience. Seeing the growth in our clients is inspirational and keeps me motivated.
What are your values in regards to ABA Therapy?
One of the parts I enjoy most about my role is collaborating with others. I believe that we see the best outcomes when we work together across disciplines and I've learned so much from wonderful occupational and speech therapists. Involving caregivers, teachers, and other important people in a client's life is key. ABA therapy should be fun and engaging, so I appreciate a child-led play-based approach, particularly for our younger learners.

A bit about me:
I've been working in ABA for a little over 6 years and earned my Master’s in ABA with a concentration in Autism Spectrum Disorder in September 2024. I became a BCBA at Laugh & Learn in Brighton in April 2025. What I love most about ABA is witnessing the meaningful, positive changes and progress our clients make—whether it's at the clinic, at home, or out in the community. When I’m not working, I enjoy working out, hanging out with family and friends, and spending time with my husband and our two huskies.

A bit about me
I live in Fenton, Michigan with my two sweet children, husband, grandmother, and a bunch of chickens. We love to go kayaking and Hiking. We are also very involved with our children's ministry at our church in Clarkston.
I graduated from Western Michigan University with a bachelors in Health Science, my major was in interdisciplinary health and Human services and received a minor in Holistic health. I received my Masters in Psychology with a concentration in Applied Behavior Analysis at Purdue Global University.
What made you decide to pursue a career in ABA Therapy?
When I was younger, I spent a lot of time with my grandmother who worked at a residential home for disabled adults. I grew close to residents and found much joy in developing relationships and assisting at the group home. It was then when I knew that I wanted to help support this population.
What do you feel qualifies you to help families affected by autism?
I thank God daily for being able to make a difference in other peoples lives. It's such a blessing to be able to support families at such depth, coming alongside families and being a part of their village to help their child stay safe, find joy, and develop relationships.
What are your values in regards to ABA Therapy?
I value skill development in ABA, teaching a child skills to contact reinforcement more naturally in their environment and supporting them and families to have a higher quality life by utilizing an evidence based-science of ABA. Another value would be collaboration- Its critical to align values and goals with the family, its also critical to work with other key stake holders such as school staff, prescribing physicians, occupational therapist, speech pathologist, and other family members involved in care.

A bit about me:
I began my career as a volunteer parent in my daughter's preschool classroom and then went to Mott Community College where I obtained my Associates degree in Applied Science along with a Child Development Associate Certificate CDA). I began work at Mott Community College in their Laboratory Early Childhood Division School for over 17 years, before I returned to school to receive a Bachelor degree from Rochester University in Education 2006. From there I went to the University of Michigan where I earned my Master's degree, in Education the spring of 2011. Shortly after, I went full dash to take on an Education Specialist degree in Early Childhood Intervention graduating by 2015 and continued to work as a Early educator in Flint Schools as an Art Educator at Flint Institute of Arts Museum and art school(FIA) as a traveling art teacher going to schools located in and around Genesee County for over 2 years. During, the summer months, I worked with Child Care Network as a CDA trainer and with The Council for Professional Recognition, as a Professional Development Specialist (PDS) conducting Verification Visits for potential CDA candidates. I then briefly worked as a "Family, friends, and neighbors" (FFN) Trainer to assist caregivers in becoming qualified licensed daycare providers by the state of MI. I became interested in ABA during my time at Oakland University where my then professor Dr. Nick Lauer, had a speaker present on topics about ABA. Shortly, afterwards, I learned there was a overwhelming need for BCBA's in MI and was able to intern for work as a RBT whilst receiving ABA courses and hours towards certification in ABA along with studing to take the BACB exam which I passed on April 14, 2022. I love aba as it uses evidence based practices and strategies to assist parents, staff and others in the community to gain skills in supporting individuals with disabilities while addressing communication, social, adaptive and daily living skills to promote targeted outcomes.
I have been married to my best friend and soulmate for an upcoming 38 years this fall and we have two beautiful daughters. Our oldest daughter and her husband currently live in the United Kingdom and she has been married for 7 years and our youngest daughter lives on her own working as a Brista at a major Coffee chain cafe. We have a handsome pet cat and his name is Wellington. He is a Siamese/Burmese Snowshoe. I am a triplet and I have twin siblings who are exactly 10 months older than the triplets. My siblings and I like to shock people by informing them that the triplets and twins are the same age for 1 month, until the twins birthday, known as the Jenkins 5. I enjoy cooking, gardening, traveling and reading in my limited spare time.

A bit about me:
I have been working at Laugh and Learn for over four years now and found this field by accident when applying for new jobs. Ever since then, I fell in love with this field and the way that ABA services can positively impact the lives of the clients that we work with on a daily basis. I can't wait to continue to grow and be a part of this company and see my clients grow and continue to learn! Now that I finished grad school I have more time to read, spend time with friends and family, go see plays and musicals, and build legos with the help and support of my cat.
